Bound by Healing Book Club
We’re back! Bound by Healing returns this October, and you’re invited to gather with us in community, laughter, and reflection. This isn’t your average book club — it’s a space where stories meet healing, where humor and heartache sit side by side, and where connection grows one page at a time.
We’ll meet the second Sunday of every month from 1–3 PM at Bound to Happen Books on the second level.
⚠️ Accessibility note: The second level is only accessible by stairs. There is no elevator access.
📖 Our first read: Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson.
Jenny doesn’t just write about living with mental illness — she charges in, arms wide open, with humor so sharp it’ll make you snort-laugh and honesty so raw it’ll stop you in your tracks. Through absurd adventures, candid truths, and ridiculous taxidermy (yes, really 🦝✨), Lawson reminds us that choosing joy — sometimes defiantly — can be one of the most healing acts of all.
✨ Bonus: If you purchase your copy of Furiously Happy (or any future book club pick) from Bound to Happen Books and let them know it’s for the book club, you’ll receive 10% off.
Come as you are — whether you’ve devoured every page, highlighted a few favorite quotes, or are still on chapter two. What matters is showing up, sharing space, and being part of the conversation. 💛

Bound by Healing Book Club
Join us for our October Grief Book Club, held upstairs at Bound to Happen Books. This month, we’re diving into Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson—a raw, hilarious, and unflinching look at living with mental illness, grief, and the wild beauty of choosing joy anyway. Come ready to laugh, cry, and connect. All are welcome—no need to read the book to join the conversation.

Bound by Healing Book Club
December is the month for curling up with a powerful story and gathering in good company. Bound by Healing meets on the second Sunday of the month from 1–3 PM at Bound to Happen Books on the second level.
⚠️ Accessibility note: The second level is only accessible by stairs. There is no elevator access.
Our December selection: The Poppy Fields by Nikki Erlick.
In this deeply moving novel, Erlick takes us into a sweeping story about love, memory, and the threads that bind generations together. Through vivid prose and haunting imagery, The Poppy Fields explores how we carry the past, how grief shapes our stories, and how remembrance can bloom into resilience. It’s a tale of beauty and heartbreak — one that lingers long after the last page. 🌺
✨ Bonus: If you purchase your copy of The Poppy Fields from Bound to Happen Books and let them know it’s for book club, you’ll receive 10% off.
We’ll continue our 12-week journey with Memento Mori in January, but December is dedicated to letting this novel hold us in its pages as we close out the year together. 💛

Grief Support Group
Our weekly grief support circle meets every Thursday from 9–11 AM at the Portage County Public Library in Stevens Point. This is a free, drop-in space where grief is welcomed—not rushed, silenced, or judged. Each session offers room to share, listen, or simply be. This month, we’ll be working with the Bearing the Unbearable card deck and exploring Neurographic art as gentle tools for expression, reflection, and healing. Come as you are—there’s space for all that you carry.
